· Apply half the dose of nitrogen (45 kg/ha) and full dose of phosphorus (45 kg/ha) and potassium (45 kg/ha) before planting.
In the case of ridges and furrows, open a 5 cm deep furrow on the side of the ridge at two thirds the distance from top of ridge and the bottom. Place the fertilizer mixer along this furrow and cover with soil upto 2 cm.
